Replacement: air filter – FORD FUSION (JU_). AUTODOC recommends:
- Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
- Warning! Shut down the engine before starting any work – FORD FUSION (JU_).
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Disconnect the air intake pipe from the air filter housing. - Step 4
Detach the air intake hose clamp. Use clic-R collar pliers. - Step 5
Remove the air intake pipe. - Step 6
Unscrew the filter housing fastening bolts. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 7
Detach the crankcase ventilation hose from the engine cover at the left. - Step 8
Remove the air filter housing.Please note!The air filter housing is integrated into the engine cover. - Step 9Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.Step 10
Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use Torx T27. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 11
Take off the filter lid. - Step 12
Remove the filter element from the filter housing. - Step 13
Clean the air filter cover and housing.Replacement: air filter – FORD FUSION (JU_). Tip from AUTODOC:Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth. - Step 14
Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.Replacement: air filter – FORD FUSION (JU_). Professionals recommend:Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.FORD FUSION (JU_) – It's important to only use high-quality filters.During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
