I want to wash the engine compartment on ROVER 75 (RJ). What should I beware of and what are the best ways to do it?

      Before you start washing, insulate all water-sensitive connectors and units with a film and masking tape. Protect the air filter housing as well, don't let water enter the cylinders under any circumstances. Warm up the engine a little — the dirt comes off better from warm metal. Then remove the negative terminal from the battery and cover the battery with plastic. Once you've done everything I mentioned above, start washing your car.
