Used these electric struts to replace the failing LR struts on my Discovery Sport, perfect fit and work great. Been waiting over 3 months for OEM Land Rover parts, wish I’d bought the Stabilus ones sooner.

Works beautifully. I kept getting bonked in the head by my tailgate and established the struts were probably factory, 21 years old! They were absolutely knackered, I'm surprised they held up at all. I only bought this car a couple of years ago, so I can't say how these new struts compare to the originals, but they perform exactly as I imagine they should; the tailgate comes up on its own from about waist height. The installation is easy (thanks to the video on this page) and can be completed by anyone with a flathead screwdriver. Longevity remains to be seen, of course. Recommended as an OEM replacement for my very early V50 is the 425N version (#115683), but I can confirm this 470N version is fully compatible.

They fit my BMW F10 well. They arrives quickly. Fitting is easy and they feel better than the original parts fitted by BMW. Please be aware to make sure the end closest to the boot opening clips into place securely. Once attached and pushed onto the receiver, two clamps in this part click and hold it securely in place. It takes a little force. They feel great quality when in use and the boot now opens slowly and under control with a feel of quality once again. I would recommend them if asked.

Ordered for a 2015 Seat Leon 1.4 FR 5dr hatchback. Installation was easy as could be. Unclip and pull out old struts, unclip and install new struts, re-clip. Auto boot opening! I was hesitant to order at first as most reviews suggested waiting times for 2 months+. However, my order got delivered within a week! Well packaged also.

Fitted BMW F10 2014 Sallon. Very slow to open, takes a good few seconds before you can use the boot. It’s like it works in slow motion. Would try a different one next time. I believe it’s the initial resistance of the strut that it too strong, or this is over what it should be. I checked it matches the car before buying.

I’ve used Stabilus for other situations with very good performance. This one in particular, although they seem exactly like OEM for the seat Leon, after not even 1 year of usage they are already starting to loose the tension. I expected more from the brand. This particular item defrauded my expectations.

I’ve expected more from the brand. It worked great when installed but It’s around 1 year of usage and the tension almost gone. I’ve used the same brand of products with great results, but this one for the tailgate of the seat Leon in particular do not corresponds to the brand standards

Excellent quality. I replaced the old ones because the boot lid fell down and cracked my wife on the head. These ones are so powerful that the boot lid lifts on its own after you've lifted it so far. It's more difficult to push it down to close but it's a price I'm willing to pay. :

CAUTION! This product gets listed as being suitable for Civic Type R FK2 and it doesn't fit. I believe this is only suitable for non-Type-R (IX) Civics. Product quality, Autodoc delivery etc was fine, albeit an incorrect item which I now have to return hence 2 stars.

Replaced aging struts after the bonnet fell down shortly after I removed my head from beneath it. The old ones just weren't holding. these ones are excellent with a lot of strength in them. it feels like lifting the bonnet of a brand new car now.

These struts look, smell, feel & taste exactly the same as original equipment. Not surprisingly as they are made by the same people at the same factory - but they are half the price of the same thing from OEM dealer.

used this product because it has upgrade to wiring and wiring does not come out the back when fitted to car comes out to the side which is a better solution to stop wires from keep braking on all seat models
