AUTODOC recommends:
- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your SUZUKI SPLASH car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- Please note: all work on the car – SUZUKI SPLASH – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.
- Step 3Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. SUZUKI SPLASH
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Remove the hub bearing protection cap. Use a flat metal-working chisel. Use a hammer. Use a flat screwdriver.Please note!Some cars are not equipped with wheel hub caps.
- Step 7Clean the wheel hub fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.Step 8Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut. Use a drive socket #30. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Remove the brake drum assembled with the wheel hub bearing.Replacement: wheel bearing – SUZUKI SPLASH. Tip from AUTODOC experts:Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary.
- Step 10Remove the wheel hub bearing retaining ring. Use circlip pliers.
- Step 11Press out the wheel hub bearing. Use a bush and bearing driver set.
- Step 12Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.Step 13Press fit the new wheel hub bearing into the brake drum. Use a bush and bearing driver set. Use a hammer.Replacement: wheel bearing – SUZUKI SPLASH. Professionals recommend:Check to make sure the wheel hub bearing is positioned correctly. Avoid its misalignment. Stop pressing on the surface of the bearing immediately after it has been fitted into its mounting seat.
