- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
- Step 3Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. PEUGEOT 407 Coupe (6C_)
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the brake caliper fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.Step 7Unscrew the brake caliper fastening. Use a combination spanner #13. Use a combination spanner #15.
- Step 8Spread the brake pads. Use a crowbar.
- Step 9Remove the brake caliper.Replacement: wheel bearing – PEUGEOT 407 Coupe (6C_). AUTODOC experts recommend:Tie the caliper to the suspension or to the body with a wire without disconnecting from the brake hose to prevent depressurization of the brake system.Make sure that the brake caliper is not hanging on the brake hose.Don't press the brake pedal after the brake caliper has been removed. As a result, the piston can fall out from the brake cylinder, and brake fluid leakage and depressurization of the system may occur.Check the brake caliper bracket, brake caliper guide pins and boots. Clean them. Replace, if necessary.
- Step 10Remove the brake pads.
- Step 11Clean the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 12Unscrew the caliper bracket fastening. Use Torx T55. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 13Remove the caliper bracket.
- Step 14Clean the brake disc fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.Step 15Unscrew the brake disc fastening. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 16Remove the brake disc.
- Step 17Remove the hub bearing protection cap. Use a crowbar. Use a hammer.
- Step 18Unstake the wheel hub retaining nut. Use a flat metal-working chisel. Use a hammer.
- Step 19Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut. Use a drive socket #41. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 20Remove the fastening nut.
- Step 21Remove the hub and the bearing together, since they are a sealed unit.
- Step 22Install the new wheel hub with a bearing. Use a rubber mallet.
- Step 23Install the fastening nut.
