                        Wire brush

                        Brake cleaner 
                      
                        Copper grease 
                      
                        Combination spanner #15
                      
                        Drive socket # 13 
                      
                        Drive socket # E16 
                      
                        Drive socket # 30 
                      
                        Wheel impact socket #19
                      
                        Ratchet wrench
                      
                        Torque wrench
                      
                        Brake caliper wind back tool
                      
                        Tap wrench
                      
                        Hammer
                      
                        Rubber mallet
                      
                        Crow bar
                      
                        Wheel chock

Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). AUTODOC recommends:

Replace the brake disks on the car RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_) in complete set for each axis. Regardless of the state of components. This will ensure even braking.

Open the bonnet. Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap.

Step 2

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 3

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
Step 4

Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.

Step 5

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

Step 6

Remove the wheel.
Step 7

Clean the brake caliper fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use a brake cleaner.

Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). AUTODOC experts recommend:
After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 8

Unscrew the brake caliper fastening. Use a combination spanner #15. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9

Spread the brake pads. Use a crowbar.

Step 10

Remove the brake caliper. Use a crowbar.

Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). Professionals recommend:
Tie the caliper to the suspension or to the body with a wire without disconnecting from the brake hose to prevent depressurization of the brake system.Make sure that the brake caliper is not hanging on the brake hose.Don't press the brake pedal after the brake caliper has been removed. As a result, the piston can fall out from the brake cylinder, and brake fluid leakage and depressurization of the system may occur.
Step 11

Treat the brake caliper piston. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 12

Remove the brake pads. Use a crowbar.
Step 13

Clean the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 14

Unscrew the caliper bracket fastening. Use a drive socket #E16. Use a tap wrench.
Step 15

Remove the caliper bracket.
Step 16

Clean the brake disk surface. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 17

Pry up and remove the wheel hub cap. Use a crowbar. Use a hammer.

AUTODOC recommends:
Some cars are not equipped with wheel hub caps.
Step 18

Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut. Use a drive socket #30. Use a tap wrench.
Step 19

Remove the brake disc assemled with the wheel hub bearing.
Step 20

Clean the guiding part of the stub axle. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 21

Install the brake disc assembled with the wheel hub bearing.
Step 22

Tighten the hub. Use a drive socket #30. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 220 Nm torque.

Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). Tip:
The wheel bearing unit must not tilt on the axle pin.
Step 23

Install the cap of the hub nut. Use a rubber mallet.

AUTODOC recommends:
The cap must always be replaced. When you install the previously used cap the sealing will be lost.
Step 24

Press in the brake caliper piston. Use brake caliper wind back tool.
Step 25

Clean the brake caliper bracket from dirt and dust. Use a wire brush. Use a brake cleaner.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 26

Install the brake caliper bracket.
Step 27

Tighten the brake caliper bracket. Use a drive socket #E16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 105 Nm torque.
Step 28

Clean the brake disk surface. Use a brake cleaner.

Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). AUTODOC recommends:
After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 29

Install the brake pads.
Step 30

Install the brake caliper and fix it. Use a combination spanner #15. Use a drive socket #13. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 35 Nm torque.
Step 31

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 32

Clean the brake disk surface. Use a brake cleaner.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 33

Install the wheel.

Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). AUTODOC experts recommend:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when screwing in the fastening bolts.
Step 34

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
Step 35

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 110 Nm torque.

Important! Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and top up if necessary.
Step 36

Tighten the brake fluid reservoir cap. Close the hood.

Replacement: brake discs – RENAULT GRAND SCÉNIC II (JM0/1_). Professionals recommend:
Without starting the engine, press the brake pedal several times until you feel significant resistance.
Step 37

Remove the jacks and chocks.
