How to change brake caliper on MERCEDES W201 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: brake caliper – Mercedes W201. Tip from AUTODOC:
- The replacement procedure is identical for the left and right brake calipers on the same axle.
- Please note: all work on the car – Mercedes W201 – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1
Open the bonnet. Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap. - Step 2
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 3
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. - Step 4
Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports. - Step 5
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Mercedes W201 - Step 6
Remove the wheel. - Step 7
Remove the brake pads retaining clips. Use a pin punch. Use a hammer. - Step 8
Remove the retaining spring of the brake pads. - Step 9Spread the brake pads. Use a crowbar.Step 10
Remove the brake pads. Use a crowbar. - Step 11
Clamp the brake hose off using a brake hose clamp. - Step 12
Loosen the brake hose fastening. Use a flare nut spanner #14. - Step 13
Clean the brake caliper fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 14
Unscrew the brake caliper fasteners. Use a combination spanner #17. - Step 15
Remove the brake caliper. - Step 16
Disconnect the brake hose. Use a flare nut spanner #14. - Step 17
Treat the brake hose. Use a brake cleaner.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: brake caliper – Mercedes W201. After applying the spray, wait a few minutes. - Step 18
Install and fix the brake hose into a new caliper. - Step 19
Install the brake caliper and fix it. Use a combination spanner #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 25 Nm torque. - Step 20
Install the brake pads. - Step 21
Install the retaining spring of the brake pads. - Step 22
Install the brake pads retaining clips. Use a pin punch. Use a hammer. Use a crowbar.
