Replacement: brake caliper – AUDI A1 (8X1, 8XF). AUTODOC recommends:
  • The replacement procedure is identical for the left and right brake calipers on the same axle.
  • Please note: all work on the car – AUDI A1 (8X1, 8XF) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:

    Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.

    Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.

    Remove the wheel.

    Disconnect the ABS sensor electric socket. Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor plug. Remove the ABS sensor connector. Remove the connector of the brake pad wear sensor.
    Please note!
    Some cars are not equipped with the brake pad wear sensor.
