Replacement: anti roll bar links – Volvo V70 SW. Tools you need:

                      Wire brush
                    
                      WD-40 spray
                    
                      Brake cleaner 
                    
                      Copper grease 
                    
                      Impact socket №18
                    
                      Wheel impact socket #19
                    
                      Ratchet wrench
                    
                      Torque wrench
                    
                      Wheel chock

AUTODOC recommends:

Replace the stabiliser links on Volvo V70 SW in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – Volvo V70 SW. Recommended sequence of steps:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.

Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
Step 3

Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.
Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Volvo V70 SW
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the fasteners connecting the stabiliser link to the stabiliser bar. Use a drive socket #18. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 8

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the control arm. Use a drive socket #18. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9

Remove the stabilizer rod.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – Volvo V70 SW. Tip:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
Step 10

Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
Step 11

Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners.
Step 12

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a drive socket #18. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 60 Nm torque.
Step 13

Install the rod fastening to the stabilizer and tighten it. Use a drive socket #18. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 60 Nm torque.
Step 14

Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
Step 15

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.

Step 16

Clean the brake disk surface. Use a brake cleaner.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar links – Volvo V70 SW. After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 17

Install the wheel.

AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts on the car. Volvo V70 SW
Step 18

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
Step 19

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 140 Nm torque.
Step 20

Remove the jacks and chocks.
