Tools
Replacement: engine mounts – MERCEDES-BENZ CLC-CLASS (CL203). Tools you need:
Wire brush
WD-40 spray
All-purpose cleaning spray
Torque wrench
Drive socket # 13
Drive socket # 16
Ratchet wrench
Telescoping magnet
Hydraulic transmission jack
Fender cover
Replacement: engine mounts – MERCEDES-BENZ CLC-CLASS (CL203). AUTODOC recommends:
  • All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
  1. Step 1
    Open the bonnet.
    Step 2
    Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
    Step 3
    Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.

    Clean the engine mount fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
  2. Step 5

    Unscrew the upper fastener of the engine mount. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.

    Remove the fastening bolt. Use a telescoping magnet.

    Unscrew the lower fastener of the engine mount. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.
  5. Step 8

    Remove the fastening bolt.
