Replacement: ignition coil – SEAT TOLEDO I (1L). Tip from AUTODOC:
- The replacement procedure is the same for the ignition coils of all cylinders.
- Please note: all work on the car – SEAT TOLEDO I (1L) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Unscrew the ignition coil bracket. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 4Remove the ignition coil.
- Step 5Disconnect the high voltage wire.Replacement: ignition coil – SEAT TOLEDO I (1L). AUTODOC recommends:Be careful to avoid damaging spark plug wires.
- Step 6Detach the connector from the ignition coil.
- Step 7Remove the cowl grille seal.
- Step 8Raise up and remove the cowl grille.
- Step 9Install a new ignition coil.
- Step 10Tighten the ignition coil fastening. Use a drive socket #10. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 7 nm torque.
- Step 11Treat the ignition coil connector with electronic spray. The spray will protect the electrical contacts from corrosion, oxidation, and will reduce the contact resistance.
