Replacement: glow plugs – Renault Master 2 van. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1
Open the bonnet. - Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to avoid damaging the paintwork and plastic parts of the car. - Step 3
Loosen the clamp that connects the air intake hose to the mass air flow sensor. Use a 7 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 4
Detach the air intake hose from the MAF sensor.Replacement: glow plugs – Renault Master 2 van. Professionals recommend:Protect the MAF sensor and other air intake system components from contaminants getting in. - Step 5
Remove the air filter housing together with the air intake hose. - Step 6
Unscrew the coolant expansion tank fastener. Use a 10 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 7
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 8
Remove the coolant expansion tank. - Step 9
Detach the glow plug connectors. - Step 10
Clean the glow plug wells. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 11
Unscrew the glow plugs. Use a 10 mm glow plug socket. Use a torque wrench. Use a ratchet wrench.Replacement: glow plugs – Renault Master 2 van. Tip from AUTODOC:Glow plugs can get stuck over time and break apart when removed.Before unscrewing the parts, use a torque wrench to loosen them to avoid exceeding the breakaway torque specified by the car manufacturer.If you have reached the breakaway torque but the glow plugs still will not loosen up, you need to seek professional help: a glow plug fragment left inside the well or damage to the thread of the mounting seat can result in costly engine repairs. - Step 12
Remove the glow plugs. Use glow plug pliers. - Step 13
Treat the new glow plugs. Use ceramic grease. - Step 14
Install the new glow plugs into their mounting seats. Use glow plug pliers. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 15
Tighten the glow plugs. Use a 10 mm glow plug socket. Use a torque wrench. Tightening torque: 15 N·m.Replacement: glow plugs – Renault Master 2 van. AUTODOC recommends:Don't use excessive force when tightening the glow plugs. Overtightening can damage the threaded connection. - Step 16
Treat the glow plug connectors. Use an electronic spray.
