Replacement: fuel filter – VW PASSAT Variant (365). Tip from AUTODOC:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – VW PASSAT Variant (365). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 4Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 5Remove the fuel filter housing cover. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 6Remove the fuel filter. Use a flat screwdriver.Replacement: fuel filter – VW PASSAT Variant (365). AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
- Step 7Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
- Step 8Pump the fuel out of the fuel filter housing. Use a hand-operated fluid syringe.
- Step 9Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover.
- Step 10Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – VW PASSAT Variant (365). Tip:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Use quality filters – VW PASSAT Variant (365).
- Step 11Install and tighten the cap of the fuel filter housing. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench.
