Unscrew the engine cover fastener. Use a drive socket #10. - Step 4
Remove the engine cover. - Step 5
Clean the fuel filter. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 6
Detach the fuel pressure sensor connector. Use a crowbar. - Step 7
Disconnect the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter. Use a crowbar.Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 406 Coupe (8C). AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 8
Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a chain oil filter wrench. - Step 9
Remove the fuel filter. Put the old filter cartridge in the container. - Step 10
Detach the old filter cartridge from the filter housing cover. Use a crowbar. - Step 11
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 12
Fasten the fuel filter in the holder.Replacement: fuel filter – PEUGEOT 406 Coupe (8C). Tip from AUTODOC experts:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Remove the rubber strip. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 14
Install the rubber strip.
