All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: fuel filter – AUDI TT Roadster (8J9). Recommended sequence of steps:

Step 1

Open the fuel door.

Step 2

Unscrew the fuel filler cap.

Step 3

Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.

Step 4

Prepare a container for fluids.
Step 5

Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use a nylon cleaning brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 6

Disconnect the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter. Use a crowbar.

Replacement: fuel filter – AUDI TT Roadster (8J9). AUTODOC experts recommend:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 7

Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 8

Remove the fuel filter.
Step 9

Disconnect the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter.
Step 10

Put the old filter cartridge in the container.

Step 11

Connect the fuel supply lines to the fuel filter.
Step 12

Install a new fuel filter.

Replacement: fuel filter – AUDI TT Roadster (8J9). AUTODOC recommends:
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Use quality filters – AUDI TT Roadster (8J9).
Step 13

Screw in the fuel filter mounting bracket. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 14

Connect the fuel supply lines to the fuel filter.
Step 15

Take the fluid container away from under the fuel filter.

Step 16

Lower the car.

Step 17

Tighten the fuel filler cap.

Step 18

Close the fuel door.

Replacement: fuel filter – AUDI TT Roadster (8J9). Tip from AUTODOC:
Before starting off, switch the ignition on and off several times. This should be done to activate the fuel pump to make it pump fuel through the fuel system.
Step 19

Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.

Step 20

Shut off the engine.
