Replacement: brake hose – RENAULT MASTER II Platform/Chassis (ED/HD/UD). Professionals recommend:
- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Carry out the replacement steps as follows:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2
Loosen the brake fluid reservoir cap. - Step 3
If you are going to use a jack, secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 4
Loosen the wheel fasteners. Use a 24 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar. - Step 5
Raise the car.Replacement: brake hose – RENAULT MASTER II Platform/Chassis (ED/HD/UD). AUTODOC recommends:If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands. - Step 6
Unscrew the wheel fasteners.Caution!To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the fasteners. - Step 7
Remove the wheel. - Step 8
Spread the brake pads apart. Use a mounting lever. - Step 9
Prepare a fluid drain pan. - Step 10
Clean the areas where the brake hoses are connected to the brake caliper. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 11
Pinch one of the brake hoses with a brake hose clamp. - Step 12
Unscrew the nut fitting that connects the brake hose to the brake caliper. Use a 10 mm flare nut wrench. - Step 13
Close the opening in the caliper with a plug. - Step 14Repeat the same steps to disconnect the other brake hose.Step 15
Remove the brake hoses from the holding bracket. - Step 16
Clean the area where the brake hoses are connected to the brake pipes. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 17
Disconnect the brake pipes from the brake hoses. Use an 11 mm flare nut wrench. - Step 18
Block off the brake pipes. Use fluid line stoppers. - Step 19
Remove the brake hoses. - Step 20
Clean the brake hose mounting seats on the brake pipe bracket and the caliper. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 21Install new brake hoses.Step 22
Secure one of the brake hoses in the holding bracket. - Step 23
Remove the plug from the corresponding hole in the brake caliper. - Step 24
Screw in the nut fitting connecting the brake hose to the brake caliper. Use a 10 mm flare nut wrench. - Step 25
Repeat the same steps to connect the other brake hose. - Step 26
Tighten the nut fittings that connect the brake hoses to the brake caliper. Use a 10 mm combination spanner. Use a torque wrench. Use a 10 mm flare nut socket. Tightening torque: 17 N·m. - Step 27
Insert one hose into the brake pipe bracket and remove the fluid line stopper on the corresponding pipe. - Step 28
Screw in the nut fitting that connects the hose to the brake pipe. Use an 11 mm flare nut wrench.
