Replacement: anti roll bar links – FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO. AUTODOC recommends:
- Replace the anti-roll bar links and bushes in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for the anti-roll bar links and bushes on both sides of the same axle.
- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 2
Loosen the wheel nuts on the front wheels. Use a 21 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar. - Step 3Raise the vehicle.Warning!If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.Step 4
Unscrew the nuts on one of the wheels and remove it.Replacement: anti roll bar links – FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO. Tip:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the nuts. - Step 5
Remove the other wheel in the same way. - Step 6
Clean the fasteners of one of the anti-roll bar links. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 7
Unscrew the fastener connecting the anti-roll bar link to the anti-roll bar. Use a 19 mm combination spanner. Use an H5 Allen key to secure the ball stud. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 8
Unscrew the fastener connecting the anti-roll bar link to the suspension strut. Use a 19 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 9
Remove the anti-roll bar link. - Step 10
Follow the same steps to remove the other anti-roll bar link. - Step 11
Clean the mounting seats of the anti-roll bar link on one side of the axle. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 12
Install a new anti-roll bar link and its fasteners. - Step 13
Tighten the fastener connecting the anti-roll bar link to the anti-roll bar. Use a 20 mm combination spanner. Use a 17 mm socket. Use a torque wrench. Tightening torque: 55 N·m.
