Replacement: anti roll bar links – CITROËN BERLINGO Box (B9). Tip from AUTODOC:
- Replace the stabiliser links on CITROËN BERLINGO Box (B9) in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
- Please note: all work on the car – CITROËN BERLINGO Box (B9) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
- Step 3Raise the car.AUTODOC recommends:If you are using a jack, make sure it rests on a flat surface without any unevenness.Be sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. CITROËN BERLINGO Box (B9)
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #17. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #17. Use HEX No.H6. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Remove the stabiliser link.Replacement: anti roll bar links – CITROËN BERLINGO Box (B9). Professionals recommend:Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
- Step 10Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 11Treat the thread of the sway bar link fasteners. Use copper grease.
- Step 12Install a new stabiliser link and tighten the fasteners. Use a drive socket #17. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 13Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 40 Nm torque.
