Anti-roll bar link

        Anti-roll bar link for Allroad C5 (4BH) Diesel (180 hp)
      
        Anti-roll bar link for Allroad C5 (4BH) Petrol (250 hp)
      
        Anti-roll bar link for Allroad C5 (4BH) Petrol (299 hp)
      
        Anti-roll bar link for Allroad C5 (4BH) Diesel (163 hp)

Replacement: anti roll bar links – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). Tools you need:

                        Wire brush
                      
                        WD-40 spray
                      
                        Brake cleaner 
                      
                        Copper grease 
                      
                        Combination spanner #16
                      
                        Wheel impact socket #17
                      
                        Torque wrench
                      
                        Hydraulic transmission jack
                      
                        Wheel chock

AUTODOC recommends:

Replace the stabiliser links on AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5) in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
Please note: all work on the car – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5) – should be done with the engine switched off.

Carry out replacement in the following order:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.

Step 3

Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.

Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5)
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #16.
Step 8

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a combination spanner #16.
Step 9

Remove the fastening bolts.
Step 10

Remove the stabilizer rod.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). Professionals recommend:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
Step 11

Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 12

Ιnstall the transverse stabilizer link.
Step 13

Install the fastening bolts.
Step 14

Tighten the stabiliser link fastener. Use a combination spanner #16.
Step 15

Support the arm. Use a hydraulic transmission jack.
Step 16

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 40 Nm torque.+90°

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Be sure to use new fasteners.
Step 17

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a combination spanner #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 40 Nm torque.+90°

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Be sure to use new fasteners.
Step 18

Remove the support from under the arm.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar links – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). Lower the transmission jack smoothly, without jerks, to avoid damaging components and mechanisms.
Step 19

Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.
Step 20

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 21

Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a brake cleaner.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar links – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 22

Install the wheel.

AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts on the car. AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5)
Step 23

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 24

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 120 nm torque.
Step 25

Remove the jacks and chocks.
