AUTODOC recommends:
- Replace the stabiliser links on AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5) in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
- Please note: all work on the car – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.Step 3Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5)
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #16.
- Step 8Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a combination spanner #16.
- Step 9Remove the fastening bolts.
- Step 10Remove the stabilizer rod.Replacement: anti roll bar links – AUDI ALLROAD (4BH, C5). Professionals recommend:Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
- Step 11Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 12Ιnstall the transverse stabilizer link.
- Step 13Install the fastening bolts.
- Step 14Tighten the stabiliser link fastener. Use a combination spanner #16.
