Replacement: air filter – VW Lupo 6X1. Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
Please note: all work on the car – VW Lupo 6X1 – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover.Use a Phillips screwdriver.Use HEX No.H5.Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 4
Remove the fastening bolts.
Step 5
Take off the filter lid.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: air filter – VW Lupo 6X1. Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
Step 6
Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Step 7
Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
Step 8
Clean the air filter cover and housing.
Step 9
Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
Step 10
Insert a new filter element into the filter housing.Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.
AUTODOC recommends:
Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.Attention! Use quality filters – VW Lupo 6X1.During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
Step 11
Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.
Step 12
Install the fastening bolts.
Step 13
Screw in the fastening screws of the air filter cover.Use a Phillips screwdriver.Use HEX No.H5.Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 14
Tighten the fastening screws of the air filter cover.Use HEX No.H5.Use a torque wrench.Tighten it to 8 Nm torque.
Step 15
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 16
Close the hood.
