How to change oil filter and engine oil on VW LUPO 6x1 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

All the parts you need to replace – Oil Filter for Lupo (6X1, 6E1) and other VW models

Replacement: engine oil and filter – VW Lupo 6X1. Tip from AUTODOC:
- Replace the oil filter every time when changing motor oil.
- Wear gloves to prevent contact with hot liquid.
- Please note: all work on the car – VW Lupo 6X1 – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1
Open the hood. - Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car. - Step 3
Unscrew the oil filler plug. - Step 4
Pull up the oil dipstick. - Step 5
Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Replacement: engine oil and filter – VW Lupo 6X1. Tip from AUTODOC experts:The vehicle must be on even keel, and if it is at an angle, the drain plug must be at the lowest point. - Step 6
Put a waste oil container with at least 5 l capacity under the drainage hole. - Step 7
Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use a wire brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 8
Unscrew the drain plug. Use a drive socket #19. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 9
Drain the used oil.Replacement: engine oil and filter – VW Lupo 6X1. AUTODOC experts recommend:Caution! The oil may be hot.Wait until the oil has completely drained from the drainage hole. - Step 10
Unscrew the oil filter. Use the 76-12F socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 11
Clean the oil filter seat. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 12
Lubricate the rubber seal of the new filter with a little amount of fresh oil. - Step 13
Install a new oil filter.Please note!Make sure to install the filter correctly. Don't mix up the sides of the part. - Step 14
Tighten the oil filter. Remember to observe the recommended tightening torque. Use the 74-15F socket. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 20 nm torque. - Step 15
Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 16
Screw in the new drainage plug and tighten it. Use a drive socket #19. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 28 nm torque. - Step 17
Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
