Had the same problem mate! On mine it was just the main bolt that had come loose. You don't always need to take the whole door card off - sometimes you can reach through if you remove the small triangular plastic cover at the base of the mirror from outside. Give it a try first, saved me loads of time

@LiCoKe Agreed, but on my 207 I had to take the door panel off anyway because the wobble was from a broken mounting tab inside. Once you've got it open, check if the plastic housing is cracked - that happened on mine after 5 years

I fixed mine last month without removing door card. Just turned the mirror all the way in, used a long T40 bit and tightened the bolts I could reach. Bit fiddly but worked fine. The main one you need is behind that small cover at the bottom

@user_88487 If it's really wobbly and tightening doesn't help, the mounting plate might be cracked like @Ellie_Watson said. I ended up using some double-sided foam tape on the broken tab as a temporary fix and it's been solid for 8 months now. Not pretty but does the job

Just be careful with those door panel clips - they break so easily on the 207s. I snapped two when I did mine because I was too rough pulling it off. Use a proper trim removal tool if you've got one

Mine was loose from hitting it in the car park I think. Turned out one of the three bolts had completely come undone inside. Once I got the door card off it was obvious. Took 20 mins total including putting everything back together

@connor.m +1 on the clips, total pain. Also don't forget to disconnect the electrical plugs for the heated mirror and indicator before you yank the mirror off or you'll have wires everywhere

take a photo of where the wiring connectors go before you disconnect them. There's usually two plugs plus that brown wiring loom clip that's easy to forget about when putting it back

@Ben Taylor I tried that method but couldn't get enough torque on the bolts without proper access. Ended up taking door card off properly - only took 15 mins and could actually see what I was doing then

Had a mate help me with his 207 few weeks back, turned out the issue was actually the mirror glass itself being loose in the housing, not the whole assembly. Check that first before stripping door apart - you can pop the glass out quite easy

@Ellie_Watson How much did you pay for replacement housing if you don't mind me asking? Mine's got a hairline crack and wondering if it's worth fixing or just living with it for now. Mirror still works fine just bit of movement on rough roads
