VAUXHALL Insignia Mk I (A) Hatchback (G09) 1.6 CDTI (68)@travella0 Oct 14, 2020MemberI need to replace my insignia 2016 1.6 cdti passenger rear calliper as I tore the boot when winding back the calliper after changing the discs and pads. A new and assembled calliper for £40 is an easier and less hassle job that dismantling the calliper and piston and changing the boot for £20.But I don’t know how to disconnect the electric hand brake and reset it, if it needs resetting etc.Can anyone advise?ThanksMark

19.10.20 - @Engs1995 Oct 19, 2020MemberWhen replacing the rear brake caliper, there is nothing complicated, everything changes as on an ordinary car, the only thing you need to have is a set for pressing the piston and that’s it.Reply
