I need to replace my insignia 2016 1.6 cdti passenger rear calliper as I tore the boot when winding back the calliper after changing the discs and pads.  A new and assembled calliper for £40 is an easier and less hassle job that dismantling the calliper and piston and changing the boot for £20.
But I don’t know how to disconnect the electric hand brake and reset it, if it needs resetting etc.
    Can anyone advise?
    Thanks

When replacing the rear brake caliper, there is nothing complicated, everything changes as on an ordinary car, the only thing you need to have is a set for pressing the piston and that’s it.
