How do you change front light fog bulb on vivaro
- @connor.m30.10.2025 13:13MemberYou've got to get underneath the motor for this job. Left side is dead easy - there's just a retaining clip to pop off for the access cover. Right side's a bit more faff though, you'll need to remove two screws and some clips first.
- @Molly Edwards30.10.2025 15:12MemberEdwards @connor.m Exactly this! I spent ages trying to get at it from the top through the grille like a muppet 😅 Ended up getting proper dirty underneath. You definitely need to get under the van - access is from beneath only.
- @JackWood30.10.2025 17:11MemberOnce you're under there it's straightforward enough. Disconnect the wiring connector first, then rotate the bulb holder anticlockwise to remove it. New bulb goes in reverse - push holder in and turn clockwise to lock it. Mine was an H11 bulb, cost about 8 quid from the motor factors.
- @mitchell4530.10.2025 17:35Member@JackWood Yeah H11 is right for most Vivaros. Had to do this job twice now - first time I forgot to test it before putting everything back together! Always check the new bulb works before you start reassembling all the covers.
- @Harry T. Rogers30.10.2025 18:06MemberTop tip from my experience - if you're struggling for space underneath, park one front wheel up on the kerb. Gives you loads more room to work. Did mine in about 20 minutes once I figured that out.
- @f_green30.10.2025 18:42@Harry T. RogersMember@Harry T. Rogers Brilliant advice that! Also worth mentioning you'll want to make sure the ignition and headlights are on when testing - front fogs won't work otherwise. Learned that the hard way when I thought the new bulb was duff.
- @Baker-9831.10.2025 21:14Member@connor.m Had a mare with mine - the wire connector was proper corroded. Ended up having to clean the terminals with a bit of sandpaper before the new bulb would work properly. Worth checking that before you blame the bulb. Also make sure you don't touch the glass part of the new bulb with your fingers - oils from your skin can make it blow early.
