Hi all, I recently had the egr valve replaced by a friend as the old one was knackered. The new one isn’t working. It clicks over and over and when I drive the engine light comes on and it goes to limp mode.
Does anyone know what’s happening and if there’s anything I can do to fix it? My friend is stumped and unavailable, local garage doesn’t know what’s wrong with it either and suggested it might be faulty.
I got forscan to try and reset the ecu values for the egr but forscan detects my car as a focus 1.8 zetec and I did not wish to continue exploring this as that immediately confused me.
Car is a 2011 Mondeo estate 1.6 econetic manual.
    Thanks!
