ECU replacement NISSAN Qashqai II (J11) (11.2013 - ...)

My wife has an engine fault on her 2018 qashqai. The garage says it needs a new ecu and an oil cleanse and is quoting £3000? Any advice on this issue and costing etc would be welcome thanks
