How to replace thermostat
@Coight01.06.2023 17:27MemberIts not so hard. first you need to drain the antifreeze, then for more convenient access you need to remove the inlet pipe. then you can start removing the thermostat and unscrew it. replace it with a new one and assemble everything in the reverse order.- @user_216745520.01.2024 02:08MemberHhello anyone got a picture off we're it located please
@Comebefor22.01.2024 10:55@user_2167455MemberHi, the thermostat is at the back of the alternator, on the side of the engine
- @tea.lover200031.05.2025 13:14@user_1626294MemberThis sounds really complicated. Iâm not sure if I can diy it. Iâm thinking it might be better to let the garage handle it.
- @X2306.06.2025 14:00MemberThe thermostatâs kinda hard to get to. If you're not used to working in tight engine bays, might save you a headache letting a garage sort it. Just search nissan navara np300 thermostat location and youâll see what you're dealing with.
- @James Turner09.06.2025 12:16MemberIf youâre up for it, itâs doable. On the np300, the thermostatâs behind the alternator, so youâll need to remove that to get to it. Take pics as you go and grab a new gasket when you get the thermostat, just in case the old one doesnât seal up right after.
