Hi

This is my first forum…..

HELP please-I cannot find the pressure sensor on my expert, easy to say just follow the injector rail but I’ve done that and I still can’t find it! I know it has an electrical connection so in theory follow the cables….. I have a horrible feeling it’s maybe at the back of the engine?? Cassy

It is a very common problem when the fuel pressure sensor (especially on diesel engines such as HDi) is in a place that is difficult to find, even if you know it is on the rail. Your "dreadful feeling" may be true!
On the Peugeot Expert I (1995-2006) with HDi engines (eg 2.0 HDi) the fuel pressure sensor (Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor) is actually on the high pressure fuel rail.
The problem is that it is often located:
    - At the end of the fuel rail, close to the firewall (at the back of the engine).
    - Or it may even be underneath the rail, making it invisible from above unless you remove other components or look with a mirror.
    - Sometimes it is opposite the pressure regulating valve on the rail itself.
Often it has very limited access due to other components (turbine, intake/exhaust elements, wiring) or due to its location near the engine compartment bulkhead.
