The sensor is located behind the engine on the coolant distributor housing which is mounted on the cylinder head.

Hello, you need to contact a mechanic for diagnosis, as there could be many reasons. The simplest ones are a clogged radiator, a faulty thermostat, or a non-working fan. Or the cylinder head gasket may have been blown, then you will have to do a complete engine overhaul

On the Frontera B 2.2i, the coolant temperature sensor is typically located near the thermostat housing or on the engine block. Check the area where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine for the sensor's location.
