CarPlay not working properly SSANGYONG REXTON (Y400)

Hi, I’ve owned my 2020 Rexton since new.

CarPlay used to work fine, then one day, I received a phone call and the person at the other end of the call couldn’t hear my voice, although I could hear them OK. Once I got to my destination, I called them back without CarPlay and everything was fine again. 

It’s been like this ever since, several months now. I can make and receive calls on CarPlay, but the other caller cdm’t hear my voice.

I’ve updated iPhone software, made the phone forget the car, then re-pair.

Siri works OK, so it isn’t that the microphone is muted.

I contacted Apple about the problem and got no useful help there.

Any suggestions, please?
