Had a similar issue after changing literally everything – plugs, coils, even injectors. Turned out it was a failing crankshaft position sensor that only played up when hot. Swapped it for one from another Rodius, problem was gone. Might be worth checking especially if your misfire starts after warming up .

@grace.rob.12 +1, sensors are sneaky culprits. I once spent weeks on an Odyssey with random misfires that ended up being a dodgy cam sensor. Quick scan while hot might reveal something, especially if you already replaced usual stuff.

Had a Rodius, shuddering with full set of new parts. For me it ended up being bad ground connections – I redid the main engine grounds and cleaned all the contacts, engine ran smooth after. Don't ignore the basics, corrosion can cause lots of misfire issues!

Could also be a coil breaking down under heat. Friend had almost identical symptoms on an old Musso (same engine family), swapped with a used coil pack from his garage and all sorted. Maybe try swapping out your coils when the engine is hot, see if it changes anything.

+1 to grounds. My previous Rodius had a hidden ground strap loose, misfire only after 20-30 minutes. Tightened everything, even battery clamp, cured the problem quick. Sometimes simplest fixes are the ones to miss!

Sometimes ECU itself has solder joint cracks that only play up hot. If nothing else works, friend’s Rodius got sorted after he resoldered the ECU board – rare, but not impossible on these older cars.

Had something similar, was fuel pump getting weak after driving for a while. Borrowed a pressure gauge, saw pressure dropped after 10-15 minutes. If you have a way, I’d check the fuel pressure next time it starts shuddering .

Noticed on forums that Rodius models can also have wiring loom issues near the fuse box, especially if any water got in over time. Just something to keep in mind, sometimes there’s more than one cause for these gremlins!

Agree with fuel pressure idea, had almost the same symptoms on a 2007 Stavic (same engine/transmission), pump was fine cold, hopeless hot. Secondhand pump fixed it.

Once had a 50kV lead arcing to block, but only after everything got hot under hood. Looked normal cold. Might just watch engine bay in total darkness, sometimes you see the spark sneak through.

Different model but same issue when alternator got hot and voltage dropped. Engine would misfire, dash lights flicker. Swapped alternator, everything went away. Maybe check voltages during/after issue?
