Remove the ABS fuse to disable the system.
Loosen the bleeder valve on the brake cylinder and start bleeding.
For ABS, keep the brake pedal pressed while bleeding. Turn on the ignition to check—the ABS warning light should appear. (Do not loosen the valve with the brake pedal released.)
Turn on the ignition and wait for the pump to expel air.
Tighten the bleeder valve and release the brake pedal.
Repeat the process until the ABS warning light turns off, indicating proper bleeding.
Special Cases:
Some ABS systems require a diagnostic scanner and should be serviced by professionals.
ABS with ESP or SBC electronic activation must be bled in a service center.
Manual Bleeding with an Assistant:
Front Brakes: Turn off the ignition, attach a hose to the bleeder valve, open it, press the brake pedal fully, and close the valve when air bubbles stop.
Rear Right Brake: Attach a hose, press the brake pedal, turn on the ignition, and let the pump expel air. Close the valve when fluid runs clear.
Rear Left Brake: Open the valve without pressing the brake pedal, let the pump push out air, press the pedal halfway, close the valve, then turn off the ignition.
After bleeding, check for leaks, refill brake fluid if needed, and test the brakes at low speed before driving normally.
