Replacement: engine mounts – FORD TRANSIT Bus (FD_ _, FB_ _, FS_ _, FZ_ _, FC_ _). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Replacement: engine mounts – FORD TRANSIT Bus (FD_ _, FB_ _, FS_ _, FZ_ _, FC_ _). Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to avoid damaging the paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Clean the engine mount fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 4Unscrew the lower fasteners of the engine mount. Use a 13 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 5Remove the fastening bolts.
- Step 6Support the engine in the area of the oil pan. Use a jack.Warning!Place a wide wooden block between the jack and engine to prevent the oil pan from being damaged.Step 7Unscrew the upper fasteners of the engine mount. Use an 18 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Remove the engine mount.
- Step 9Clean the mounting seats of the engine mount. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray.
