- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: wing mirror – FORD FOCUS Estate (DNW). Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the car door.Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car. - Step 3
Remove the wing mirror cover. Use a plastic trim tool. - Step 4
Disconnect the wiring of the wing mirror. Use a clip removal tool. - Step 5
Detach the mirror adjuster connector from the door. - Step 6
Remove the wing mirror screws. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 7
Remove the wing mirror. - Step 8
Clean the wing mirror mounting seat. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 9
Install the new wing mirror. - Step 10
Tighten the screws of the wing mirror. Use a drive socket #10. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 8 Nm torque.
