Replacement: spark plugs – VW TRANSPORTER III Box. AUTODOC recommends:
- The replacement procedure is the same for all spark plugs.
- Warning! Shut down the engine before starting any work – VW TRANSPORTER III Box.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Unscrew the filter housing fastening bolts. Use a Phillips screwdriver.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: spark plugs – VW TRANSPORTER III Box. To avoid damaging the part when removing it, do not use excessive force. - Step 4
Remove the air filter housing. - Step 5
Remove the spark plug wire connectors from the spark plug wells.Replacement: spark plugs – VW TRANSPORTER III Box. Tip:Be careful to avoid damaging spark plug wires.Remember the sequence of the spark plug wires connectors. - Step 6Clean dirt, dust and debris from inside the spark plug wells.Step 7
Unscrew the spark plugs. Use the spark plug socket #21. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 8
Take out the spark plugs. Use a telescoping magnet. - Step 9
Apply a thin layer of a special high temperature anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the new spark plugs. - Step 10
Install the new spark plugs into their mounting seats. Use the spark plug socket #21.
