How to change serpentine belt / v-ribbed belt on VW PASSAT B6 (3C5) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Combination spanner #16
Torx bit T25
Ratchet wrench
Replacement: serpentine belt – Passat Variant B6. AUTODOC recommends:
- Please note: all work on the car – VW Passat 3C B6 Variant – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1
Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit. - Step 2
Unscrew the wheel arch cover fasteners. Use Torx T25. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 3
Clean the fasteners of the locker. Use a wire brush. - Step 4
Unscrew the wheel arch cover fasteners. Use Torx T25. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 5
Remove the wheel arch cover. - Step 6
Pull aside the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley. Use a combination spanner #16. - Step 7
Remove the V-ribbed belt. - Step 8
Return the tensioner pulley to its initial position.Replacement: serpentine belt – Passat B6 3C Variant. AUTODOC experts recommend:Check the condition of the tensioner pulley and idler pulley. Replace them if necessary. - Step 9
Install the V-ribbed belt.
