How to change serpentine belt / v-ribbed belt on OPEL ZAFIRA-B 2 (A05) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]
Serpentine belt
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
- Step 1
Open the hood.
- Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
- Step 3
Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 4
Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.
- Step 5
Unscrew and remove the wheel arch cover fasteners. Use Torx T25.
- Step 6
Remove the wheel arch cover.
- Step 7
Pull aside the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley. Use a combination spanner #19.
- Step 8
Remove the V-ribbed belt.
Replacement: serpentine belt – Opel Zafira B A05. AUTODOC experts recommend:Check the condition of the tensioner pulley and idler pulley. Replace them if necessary.
- Step 9
Return the tensioner pulley to its initial position.
- Step 10
Install the V-ribbed belt.
Replacement: serpentine belt – Opel Zafira B A05. Tip:Make sure that the V-ribbed belt fits all pulleys snugly.
- Step 11
Pull aside the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley. Use a combination spanner #19.
- Step 12
Place the V-ribbed belt on the tensioner pulley.
