                      Clip removal tool

Replacement: serpentine belt – OPEL MOVANO Box (F9). AUTODOC recommends:

All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.

Replacement: serpentine belt – OPEL MOVANO Box (F9). Recommended sequence of steps:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel fasteners. Use a 19 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar.
Step 3

Raise the vehicle.

Replacement: serpentine belt – OPEL MOVANO Box (F9). Tip from AUTODOC:
If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.
Step 4

Unscrew the wheel fasteners.

Caution!
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the fasteners.
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Unscrew the fasteners of the front part of the wheel arch liner. Use a T30 Torx screwdriver.
Step 7

Remove the clips from the front part of the wheel arch liner. Use a clip removal tool.
Step 8

Remove the front part of the wheel arch liner.
Step 9

Move the belt tensioner pulley away from the V-ribbed belt. Use a 13 mm offset ring spanner.
Step 10

Remove the V-ribbed belt.
Step 11

Unscrew the idler pulley fastener. Use a 13 mm offset ring spanner.
Step 12

Remove the fastening bolt.
Step 13

Remove the idler pulley.
Step 14

Clean the tensioner fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 15

Unscrew the tensioner fasteners. Use a 10 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 16

Remove the fastening bolts.
Step 17

Remove the tensioner.
Step 18

Clean the tensioner mounting seats. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 19

Install a new tensioner.
Step 20

Install the fastening bolts.
Step 21

Tighten the tensioner fasteners. Use a 10 mm socket. Use a torque wrench. Tightening torque: 21 N·m.
Step 22

Install a new idler pulley.
Step 23

Install the fastening bolt.
Step 24

Tighten the idler pulley fastener. Use a 13 mm socket. Use a torque wrench. Tightening torque: 30 N·m.
Step 25

Install a new V-ribbed belt.

Replacement: serpentine belt – OPEL MOVANO Box (F9). Professionals recommend:
Make sure that the belt fits snugly around all pulleys.
Step 26

Tension the V-ribbed belt by removing the locking pin from the new tensioner. Use a 13 mm offset ring spanner. Use long nose pliers.
Step 27

Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary to ensure that the component works properly.
Step 28

Switch off the engine.

Step 29

Reinstall the front part of the wheel arch liner.
Step 30

Install the clips of the front part of the wheel arch liner.
Step 31

Tighten the fasteners of the front part of the wheel arch liner. Use a T30 Torx screwdriver.
Step 32

Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 33

Treat the brake disc surface that contacts the wheel rim. Use ceramic grease.
Step 34

Install the wheel.

To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when screwing in the fasteners.
Step 35

Screw in the wheel fasteners. Use a 19 mm wheel impact socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 36

Lower the car and tighten the wheel fasteners in a criss-cross pattern. Use a 19 mm wheel impact socket. Use a torque wrench. Tightening torque: 142 N·m.
Step 37

Remove the jack and wheel chocks.
