How to change rear wheel bearing on VW GOLF 2 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: wheel bearing – VW Golf 2. AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your VW Golf 2 car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- Please note: all work on the car – VW Golf 2 – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 2
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. - Step 3
Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports. - Step 4
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. VW Golf 2 - Step 5
Remove the wheel. - Step 6
Remove the wheel hub nut cap. Use a crowbar. Use a hammer. - Step 7
Remove the cotter pin securing the hub nut. Use a crowbar. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 8
Unscrew the hub nut. Use a drive socket #30. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 9
Remove the brake drum assembled with the wheel hub bearing.Replacement: wheel bearing – VW Golf 2. Tip:Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary. - Step 10Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.Step 11
Remove the wheel hub bearing retaining ring. Use a crowbar. - Step 12
Remove the hub bearing mounting. Use a crowbar. - Step 13
Remove the hub bearing mounting. Use a crowbar. - Step 14
Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. - Step 15
Remove the inner race of the wheel bearing from the brake drum. Use a flat metal-working chisel. Use a hammer. - Step 16
Remove the inner race of the wheel bearing from the brake drum. Use a flat metal-working chisel. Use a hammer. - Step 17
Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 18
Install the new inner race of the wheel bearing into the brake drum. Use a bush and bearing driver set. Use a hammer. - Step 19
Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 20
Install the new inner race of the wheel bearing into the brake drum. Use a bush and bearing driver set. Use a hammer.
