Replacement: anti roll bar links – VW CADDY III Estate (2KB, 2KJ, 2CB, 2CJ). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Replace the stabiliser links on VW CADDY III Estate (2KB, 2KJ, 2CB, 2CJ) in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – VW CADDY III Estate (2KB, 2KJ, 2CB, 2CJ). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
- Step 3Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.
- Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. VW CADDY III Estate (2KB, 2KJ, 2CB, 2CJ)
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the fastening bolts of the bracket that connects the stabilizer bar to the car body. Use a combination spanner #18.
- Step 8Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #17. Use a drive socket #19. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Remove the fastening bolt.
- Step 10Remove the stabilizer rod.Replacement: anti roll bar links – VW CADDY III Estate (2KB, 2KJ, 2CB, 2CJ). Professionals recommend:Examine the stabiliser bushes. Replace them if necessary.
- Step 11Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 12Ιnstall the transverse stabilizer link.
- Step 13Install the fastening bolt.
- Step 14Tighten the stabiliser link fastener. Use a combination spanner #17. Use a drive socket #19. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 15Support the rear suspension beam. Use a hydraulic transmission jack.
