- Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
- If the air flow into the cabin has sharply reduced, replace the filter before a scheduled maintenance.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: pollen filter – RENAULT MEGANE I Grandtour (KA0/1_). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Remove the clips of the plastic cowl grille. Use a clip removal tool.
- Step 4Remove the cowl grille seal.
- Step 5Raise up and remove the cowl grille.
- Step 6Clean the cabin filter housing and cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the fasteners of the cabin filter housing cover. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 8Remove the cabin filter housing cover.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: pollen filter – RENAULT MEGANE I Grandtour (KA0/1_). To avoid damaging the part when removing it, do not use excessive force.
- Step 9Remove the filter element from the filter housing.Replacement: pollen filter – RENAULT MEGANE I Grandtour (KA0/1_). Tip from AUTODOC:Do not attempt to clean and reuse the filter - it will affect the quality of air cleaning inside the car.
- Step 10Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: pollen filter – RENAULT MEGANE I Grandtour (KA0/1_). Be sure to position the filtering element correctly. Avoid misalignment.Follow the air flow direction arrow on the filter.Take care to only use quality filters.
- Step 11Reinstall the cabin filter housing cover.
