How to change ignition leads on VW POLO 6n1 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: ignition leads – VW Polo 6N1. Tip from AUTODOC:
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: ignition leads – VW Polo 6N1. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the hood.
- Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
- Step 3Unscrew the air filter housing fasteners. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 4Remove the air filter housing.
- Step 5Cover the throttle body with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
- Step 6Detach the spark plug wire bracket. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 7Make marks on the distributor cap to indicate the installation order of the spark plug wires.
- Step 8Disconnect the spark plug wires from the distributor cap.Replacement: ignition leads – VW Polo 6N1. Tip:Be careful to avoid damaging spark plug wires.
- Step 9Disconnect the spark plug wires from the spark plugs. Use long nose pliers.Replacement: ignition leads – VW Polo 6N1. Tip from AUTODOC experts:Be careful to avoid damaging spark plug wires.
- Step 10Disconnect the high voltage wire.
- Step 11Connect new spark plug wires to the distributor cap.Replacement: ignition leads – VW Polo 6N1. AUTODOC recommends:Follow the installation sequence.
