Open the fuel door. - Step 2
Unscrew the fuel filler cap. - Step 3Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Step 4
Prepare a container for fluids. - Step 5
Clean the fuel filter. Use a wire brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 6
Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use a flat screwdriver.Replacement: fuel filter – VW POLO (6N1). Professionals recommend:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 7
Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a Phillips screwdriver. - Step 8
Remove the fuel filter.
