Replacement: fuel filter – VW POLO (6N2). Recommended sequence of steps:

Step 1

Open the fuel door.
Step 2

Unscrew the fuel filler cap.
Step 3

Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.

Step 4

Prepare a container for fluids.
Step 5

Clean the fuel filter. Use a wire brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 6

Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use a flat screwdriver.

Replacement: fuel filter – VW POLO (6N2). Professionals recommend:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 7

Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 8

Remove the fuel filter.
Step 9

Put the old filter cartridge in the container.

Step 10

Install a new fuel filter.

Remember, it is important not to mix up the input and output of the filter. Arrows on the filter indicate the direction of fuel flow.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Use quality filters – VW POLO (6N2).
Step 11

Connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter and lock the fastening clips.
Step 12

Tighten the fuel filter fasteners. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 13

Take the fluid container away from under the fuel filter.
Step 14

Lower the car.
Step 15

Tighten the fuel filler cap.

Step 16

Close the fuel door.

Replacement: fuel filter – VW POLO (6N2). AUTODOC experts recommend:
Before starting off, switch the ignition on and off several times. This should be done to activate the fuel pump to make it pump fuel through the fuel system.
Step 17

Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.

Shut off the engine.
