Replacement: fuel filter – VW PASSAT Kasten/Kombi (365). Tip from AUTODOC:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – VW PASSAT Kasten/Kombi (365). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 4
Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 5
Remove the fuel filter housing cover. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 6
Remove the fuel filter. Use a flat screwdriver.Replacement: fuel filter – VW PASSAT Kasten/Kombi (365). AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 7
Put the old filter cartridge in the container. - Step 8
Pump the fuel out of the fuel filter housing. Use a hand-operated fluid syringe. - Step 9
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. - Step 10
Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – VW PASSAT Kasten/Kombi (365). Tip:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Use quality filters – VW PASSAT Kasten/Kombi (365). - Step 11
Install and tighten the cap of the fuel filter housing. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench.
