Replacement: fuel filter – MINI MINI Convertible (R57). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- Please note: all work on the car – MINI MINI Convertible (R57) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Step 2Prepare a container for fluids.
- Step 3Remove the snap ring of the fuel pressure regulator retainer clip. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 4Loosen the fastening clamp of the fuel filter pipe. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 5Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 6Detach the tubes from the fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – MINI MINI Convertible (R57). AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
- Step 7Remove the fuel filter. Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
- Step 8Unscrew the fuel filter bracket fixing bolts. Use Torx T40. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Remove the fuel filter fastening bracket.
- Step 10Install the fuel filter fastening bracket.
- Step 11Screw the fixing bolts of the fuel filter bracket. Use Torx T40. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 12Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – MINI MINI Convertible (R57). Tip from AUTODOC:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.MINI MINI Convertible (R57) – It's important to only use high-quality filters.
