- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – AUDI R8 Spyder. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the fuel door.Step 2Unscrew the fuel filler cap.Step 3Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Step 4
Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 5
Remove the fuel filter housing cover. - Step 6
Prepare a container for fluids. - Step 7
Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use a nylon cleaning brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 8
Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use a flat screwdriver. Use a clip removal tool.Replacement: fuel filter – AUDI R8 Spyder. AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 9
Unscrew the fuel filter bracket. Use Torx T25. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 10
Disconnect the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter. Use a clip removal tool. - Step 11
Remove the fuel filter. Put the old filter cartridge in the container. - Step 12
Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 13
Install a new fuel filter.AUTODOC recommends:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Use quality filters – AUDI R8 Spyder.
