    With the 1U5 1.8t Automatic I found there was not enough clearance to remove the front bolt of the control arm. I tried lifting the transmission with a jack and still not enough clearance. I then had to remove several subframe bolts and pry the subframe down from the body while using a jack to lift the transmission as much as possible and was then able to remove the front bolt. 2001 Skoda Octavia L&K 1.8t automatic.
