Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. AUTODOC recommends:

The replacement procedure is identical for the left and right lower control arms.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. Use the following procedure:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 3

Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.
Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Citroen C1 1 PM PN
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a combination spanner #12. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 8

Clean all joints of the arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. AUTODOC experts recommend:
After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.Wear protective goggles.
Step 9

Remove the cotter pin. Use round-nose pliers.
Step 10

Unscrew the ball joint fastening to the steering knuckle. Use a combination spanner #17.
Step 11

Unscrew the front arm fastener. Use a drive socket #17. Use a tap wrench.
Step 12

Unscrew the rear fastener connecting the control arm to the subframe. Use a drive socket #17. Use a tap wrench.
Step 13

Remove the rear fastener of the control arm. Use a drive socket #17.
Step 14

Remove the front fastener of the control arm. Use a drive socket #17.
Step 15

Disconnect the lower arm from the steering knuckle. Use a ball joint puller.
Step 16

Remove the arm. Use a crowbar.
Step 17

Clean the mounting seats and the thread of the suspension arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 18

Install a new arm.

Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. Professionals recommend:
During the installation process, use only new bolts and nuts.Do not damage the ball joint cover.
Step 19

Install the control arm fasteners.
Step 20

Connect the lower arm to the steering knuckle.
Step 21

Support the arm. Use a hydraulic transmission jack.
Step 22

Tighten the front fastener connecting the control arm to the subframe. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 110 Nm torque.
Step 23

Tighten the rear fastener of the control arm. Use a drive socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 110 Nm torque.
Step 24

Tighten the ball joint fastener. Use a combination spanner #18. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 98 nm torque.
Step 25

Remove the support from under the arm.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. Lower the transmission jack smoothly, without jerks, to avoid damaging components and mechanisms.
Step 26

Screw in the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar to the control arm. Use a combination spanner #12. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 27

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a drive socket #12. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 18 Nm torque.
Step 28

Treat all joints of the arm. Use copper grease.
Step 29

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 30

Clean the brake disk surface. Use a brake cleaner.

Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. Tip from AUTODOC:
After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 31

Install the wheel.

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts. Citroen C1 1 PM PN
Step 32

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 33

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 100 nm torque.
Step 34

Remove the jacks and chocks.
