How to change front suspension arm / front control arm on CITROEN C1 (PM, PN) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. AUTODOC recommends:
- The replacement procedure is identical for the left and right lower control arms.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
- Step 3Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.
- Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Citroen C1 1 PM PN
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a combination spanner #12. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Clean all joints of the arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. AUTODOC experts recommend:After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.Wear protective goggles.
- Step 9Remove the cotter pin. Use round-nose pliers.
- Step 10Unscrew the ball joint fastening to the steering knuckle. Use a combination spanner #17.
- Step 11Unscrew the front arm fastener. Use a drive socket #17. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 12Unscrew the rear fastener connecting the control arm to the subframe. Use a drive socket #17. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 13Remove the rear fastener of the control arm. Use a drive socket #17.
- Step 14Remove the front fastener of the control arm. Use a drive socket #17.
- Step 15Disconnect the lower arm from the steering knuckle. Use a ball joint puller.
- Step 16Remove the arm. Use a crowbar.
- Step 17Clean the mounting seats and the thread of the suspension arm. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 18Install a new arm.Replacement: front lower arm – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. Professionals recommend:During the installation process, use only new bolts and nuts.Do not damage the ball joint cover.
- Step 19Install the control arm fasteners.
- Step 20Connect the lower arm to the steering knuckle.
