How to change rear wheel bearing / rear hub bearing on CITROEN C1 (PM, PN) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your Citroen C1 1 PM PN car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.

- Step 1
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 2
Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. - Step 3
Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports. - Step 4
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Citroen C1 1 PM PN - Step 5
Remove the wheel. - Step 6
Clean the brake drum. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 7
Unscrew the brake drum fastening. Use Torx T30. Use an impact screwdriver. - Step 8
Remove the brake drum.Replacement: wheel bearing – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. AUTODOC recommends:Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary. - Step 9
Clean the ABS sensor fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 10
Unscrew the ABS sensor fastener. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 11
Disconnect the ABS sensor. - Step 12
Clean the wheel hub fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 13
Unscrew the hub bearing mounting. Use a drive socket #12. Use a ratchet wrench. Use a tap wrench. - Step 14
Remove the hub and the bearing together, since they are a sealed unit. Use the hub slide hammer puller. - Step 15
Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use a wire brush. - Step 16
Install the new wheel hub with a bearing. - Step 17
Tighten the fastener of the wheel hub bearing. Use a drive socket #12. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 60 nm torque.Replacement: wheel bearing – Citroen C1 1 PM PN. Professionals recommend:The wheel bearing unit must not tilt on the axle pin.
